Tanya Pike

Tanya Pike grew up on a farm in country NSW. She was lucky enough to have a pet possum who liked to run up her body as if it were a tree, and a galah who liked eating ice-cream and drinking tea. There were pelican and swan rescues, and a clutch of turtle eggs hatched in her kitchen one cold winter’s night… but they’re all stories for another time.

With a love of nature and a quirky sense of humour, it really is no wonder that Tanya’s stories feature offbeat animals. And honestly, is there anything better?

Tanya has lots of manu-scraps lying about the house and an ideas book with far too many ideas. She promises to get to all of them one day! Until then they’ll just have to wait their turn.

Tanya has a BA Design in Visual Communication and loves to encourage all children not just to enjoy literature and art, but to create it!
