PENNY McNAMEE

Penny McNamee has been a seasoned actor for 20 years, forging an impressive career in TV, film and theatre, both in Australia and the US. She is also an accomplished writer, having written for Home and Away and authored the middle grade series, Stage Stars for Scholastic.

Penny is beloved by a legion of fans as Dr Tori Morgan from the hugely popular drama Home and Away, which saw her nominated for a Logie Award. Penny’s other television and film credits include roles in Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot, Steven Spielberg’s The Pacific, Political Animals, Elementary, Blue Bloods, White Collar Blue, All Saints, Headland, Satisfaction, See No Evil and Careless Love.

Penny recently appeared on stage in The Odd Couple in both Melbourne and Sydney to great acclaim, and won a Green Room Award for her portrayal of Nessarose in the original Australian production of Wicked. Other stage roles include The Witches of Eastwick for Cameron Mackintosh, Griffin Theatre’s production of Hurlyburly, Bells are Ringing for the Hayes Theatre Company and City of Angels, also for the Hayes Theatre Company. Penny’s international musical theatre credits include Daddy Long Legs and Rocket Science both staged in New York City.

Penny moonlights as a primary school teacher and is a mum to two very busy kids!
