Peter Maniaty
Peter was born and raised in the western suburbs of Brisbane. He studied Communications at QUT with the intention of becoming a journalist, only to be tempted to the ‘dark side' – advertising — soon after graduation. His career as an award-winning copywriter has taken him from Brisbane to London and then to Sydney, where he continues to ply his trade as a creative director. When he is not writing or spending time with his family, Peter can be found pursuing his other great passion, cricket, on the drought-stricken ovals of Sydney. One day he still hopes to score a century.
Christine Maniaty
Christine grew up among the cane fields of far north Queensland. In 1991, she moved to Brisbane to study teaching and later went on a two-year adventure in London, traversing Europe with her co-author, Peter, before Sydney became home. Christine currently spends her days playing in the park and building awesome cubby houses. Just ask her kids!
