S R Martin was born and bred in Perth. He has pursued various careers, with journeys into marine biology, banking, teaching, journalism and advertising.

He has lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, the UK and USA, as well as most of Australia’s capital cities.

His work is published widely overseas as well as in Australia.

S R Martin is married with three children and currently lives in the beachside suburbs of Adelaide. He is a full-time freelance writer.
